ATTENTION COLLEGIATE ANGLERS – State Championship Update
We’ve received an update from B.A.S.S. regarding National Championship qualification:
Each state must now have a minimum of 20 boats competing in its championship event (previously 5). Because of this change, we are reaching out to gauge interest and confirm how many teams are planning to participate.
2026 OBN College State Championship Details:
May 30–31
Salt Fork Lake
Entry Fee: $60 per team
Registration deadline: May 16 at 5:00 PM

Minimum of 20 boats required to qualify for Nationals. If we do not reach 20 boats, the event will be canceled and all entry fees will be fully refunded. If you plan to fish, please complete registration as soon as possible so we can get an accurate participation count. We are committed to making this event happen and sending a team to Nationals, but want to be transparent—we do not expect teams to travel if we cannot meet the minimum requirement.
NOTE: This event is open to all college anglers in good standing with B.A.S.S., B.A.S.S. Nation and Ohio B.A.S.S. Nation. Please feel free to share with other colleges to increase participation.
